Jasper Dekker, 24, is an upcoming chess player, participating in large tournaments across the Netherlands. He has taught chess at ESB and other Dutch schools. He experienced the fun of learning chess at school at the age of 8 and now wants to share his passion and enthusiasm with a new generation of chess players.
Jasper hopes once again to be able to support a number of the chess students in participating in inter-school tournaments.
Learning chess offers a number of benefits to the cognitive development of children such as concentration, calculation, spatial awareness and creativity.
